 Remembering those who have gone before Our
Club had 35 members come out to celebrate our annual Memorial Day Fun
Event. Our game for the day was triples matches with a different
twist. Team A members delivered their bowls from the right
only, while Team B members came in only from the left for the
first six ends. For the last six ends the side they came in on
reversed. This required everyone to deliver an equal number of
bowls from each side. This was good practice for those that feel
they can only work well from one side. There were prizes for the team members that scored the most points in the game. The team that won the high score game was made up of Carol Smith, Gloria Brown and Henry Richter. The lunch was provided by our hosts, Denny Ryan, Vince Sepich and Gregg Schrott, all from Thousand Oaks. We had chicken, potato salad and cold slaw. For dessert: cookies, cake and ice cream.
